Breeding Terms

DF Kamyar / Stallion Kamyar® – Breeding Season 2027

Natural Service · Selected Mares · Individual Breeding Decisions

These Breeding Terms provide an overview of the selection procedure and the principal conditions applicable to breeding enquiries for DF Kamyar / Stallion Kamyar® during the 2027 breeding season.

They do not themselves constitute a breeding contract. A binding breeding arrangement is concluded only on the basis of a separate individual agreement between the contracting parties.

1. Breeding Offer and Eligible Mares

For the 2027 breeding season, DF Kamyar / Stallion Kamyar® is intended to be available to a maximum of twelve selected mares.

The breeding offer is directed to owners of:

  • Egyptian Arabian mares
  • English Thoroughbred mares

There is no entitlement to acceptance of a particular mare and no entitlement to the full allocation being filled.

Each proposed mating is assessed individually.

The assessment may include, in particular:

  • Pedigree
  • Maternal family
  • Conformation
  • Movement and functional qualities
  • Temperament
  • Previous breeding history, where available
  • Health status
  • Breeding fitness
  • Breeding objective
  • Overall suitability of the proposed pairing

The decisive factor is the overall breeding assessment of the proposed mating together with the welfare of the horses involved.

2. Mare Nomination and Required Information

In order to assess a proposed mare, the following information should be provided where available:

  • Name and year of birth
  • Identification and registration information
  • Full pedigree and maternal family
  • Owner and contact details
  • Current location of the mare
  • Current and informative photographs
  • Movement videos, where available
  • Information regarding conformation and individual characteristics
  • Previous breeding history, where available
  • Intended breeding objective
  • Existing veterinary and breeding-related documentation

Additional information or documentation may be requested where necessary for the assessment.

3. Review and Selection Decision

Following receipt of the submitted information, the proposed mating is reviewed individually and professionally.

Additional documentation or a personal discussion may form part of the selection procedure.

The outcome of the review will be communicated to the enquiring mare owner.

If the mare receives a positive preliminary assessment, the organisational, veterinary and contractual details will be coordinated individually.

Submission of a nomination is non-binding.

It does not create:

  • A reservation
  • An entitlement to a covering date
  • An entitlement to acceptance of the mare
  • An entitlement to conclude a breeding contract

A binding agreement arises only through a separate individual contract between the parties.

4. Health, Breeding Fitness and Veterinary Requirements

Before covering, a current veterinary confirmation of the mare’s health status and breeding fitness must be provided.

Depending on the proposed pairing and the veterinary assessment, further examinations or documentation may be required, particularly with regard to infectious and hereditary conditions.

The type, recency and scope of the required veterinary documentation will be communicated before the covering date and recorded in the individual breeding agreement.

The applicable requirements relating to animal welfare, animal health and breeding law, together with the professional assessment of the veterinarians involved, remain decisive.

5. Breeding Method 2027 – Natural Service

For the 2027 breeding season, DF Kamyar / Stallion Kamyar® is offered exclusively for natural service.

No regular offering of fresh, chilled or frozen semen is intended or authorised for the 2027 breeding season.

Covering will generally take place following the personal presentation of the accepted mare at an agreed location and time.

Details relating to the following matters will be coordinated individually in advance:

  • Travel
  • Transport
  • Accommodation
  • Supervision
  • Handling
  • Veterinary care
  • Practical organisation of the covering

6. International Enquiries and Stallion Shuttling

For suitable international enquiries, it may be considered on an individual basis whether a temporary deployment of DF Kamyar / Stallion Kamyar® at the mare’s location is organisationally feasible and compatible with the applicable veterinary, breeding and animal-welfare requirements.

Such an international deployment requires a separate express agreement.

Any additional expenses arising from an agreed deployment may include, in particular:

  • Transport
  • Required veterinary examinations
  • Official documentation
  • Insurance
  • Accommodation and care
  • Other organisational expenses

Such costs are borne by the mare owner in accordance with the cost arrangements agreed in advance.

No obligation to carry out an international deployment arises until the corresponding agreement has been concluded.

7. Individual Breeding Agreement

Following acceptance of a mare, the relevant terms are set out in a separate individual breeding agreement before conclusion of the contract.

The agreement may include, in particular:

  • Identity of the mare
  • Allocation to the 2027 breeding season
  • Covering location
  • Covering period
  • Performance of natural service
  • Number of coverings, where applicable
  • Breeding fee
  • Due date and payment terms
  • Additional costs
  • Health and veterinary documentation
  • Transport and accommodation
  • Responsibilities for handling and supervision
  • Arrangements in the event of postponement
  • Veterinary circumstances
  • Interruption or failure
  • Repeat covering, where agreed
  • Pregnancy checks
  • Breeding documentation
  • Special arrangements for international deployment, where applicable

The individually agreed terms are provided transparently before any binding commitment is made.

Acceptance applies exclusively to the agreed mare and the agreed breeding season.
